I am a reporter at The Forecaster in Falmouth, ME and I cover the areas of Freeport, Yarmouth, Chebeague Island, and Cape Elizabeth. I cover town issues and also enjoy writing feature pieces and producing video to accompany articles.
I recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in English/Journalism and a minor in psychology.
Before joining The Forecaster, I interned as a staff writer at The Nashua Telegraph, writing hard news stories as well as feature pieces. I was also part of USA Today College‘s Contributing Writer program.
I was also a staff writer for the UNH student run newspaper, The New Hampshire (TNH), and I covered the student organizations beat, among other things. Check out this investigative piece I wrote in April 2013 about UNH students who worked as sex workers to pay for college.
I plan to always work in a writing field, whether it’s journalistic or otherwise. I dream of one day writing for a women’s magazine in New York. I am also in the process of writing a novel.
